Vinyl Acetate Safe Handling Guide

Translated versions of the Vinyl Acetate Safe Handling Guide are now available in French, German, Italian, Spanish (Latin American) and Portuguese (Brazilian).

The Vinyl Acetate Safe Handling Guide was initially prepared in 2002 and superseded the 1994 edition entitled "Vinyl Acetate: A Guide To Safety and Handling." The Guide was reviewed and reissued in 2005 with minor editorial modifications.

The Vinyl Acetate Council developed the Vinyl Acetate Safe Handling Guide to promote the safe and responsible use of vinyl acetate. The Guide was developed based on procedures recommended by VAC members and reflects best practices on the safe handling, storage and transport of vinyl acetate.

To promote the use of best practices around the globe, VAC translated the Safe Handling Guide into five languages.

The Guide is intended for properly trained workers that may come in contact with vinyl acetate, including individuals responsible for plant safety as well as safety and health professionals. Always Consult Your Supplier's Safety Data Sheet, Product Label and Other Safe Handling Instructions for the Most Current Recommendations.

Since the translated Guides are not intended to reflect the regulations in any specific country, the non-English language versions do not contain most of the North American-specific regulatory information.
